Kowa Company and Axis Communications introduced P-Iris, a new and precise iris control that allows fixed network cameras to deliver better image quality in both indoor and outdoor applications. A P-Iris lens, together with specialized software, can automatically and precisely regulate the iris opening to enable better contrast, clarity, resolution and depth of field. The advanced iris control will be especially beneficial for megapixel/HDTV cameras and demanding video surveillance applications.

IFSEC 2009 Security Industry Awards!

Responding to the growing demands for IP-Megapixel CCTV, Kowa has developed 2 new models of HD-Mult-Megapixel Day&Night Lenses. LMVZ3510-IR is 3.5-10mm/F1.6 Wide 108.3 degree horizontal angle of view, and LMVZ9020-IR is 9-20mm/F1.6 covering more tele focal range. Both are for 1/2" format Varifocal CS-mount, incorporating Aspherical Lens and XD-Glass (eXtra low Dispersion) to minimize focus shift between visible lights and IR-illuminated lights for true Day&Night performance, also High Resolution up to 5 Megapixel. Available in Manual or AI-DC, these will open up new opportunity for Megapixel IP Cameras!
